Yes, the time has come once again to take up the sacred charge of Extra Life and spend 24 hours fighting imaginary monsters to help defeat the very real struggles of Children's Miracle Network hospitals and their young patients around the world.
This year, however, we take our quest off the computer and onto the table, with a brand new hand-made Dungeons & Dragons campaign entitled...
What is Extra Life?
Extra Life is an annual charity event in which people from around the world get together and pledge to play games for 24 hours in order to raise money for Children's Miracle Network hospitals. This may sound like a strange way to raise money, but since its inception in 2008, Extra Life has raised over 30 million dollars for pediatric programs worldwide.
My friends and I have been doing this together since 2013, and we're going to keep the streak going again this year.
How can I participate?

We'll be live on Twitch from 9am to 9pm PDT on Saturday, November 4th and again from 9am to 9pm PST on Sunday, November 5th. You can tune in to the live stream at twitch.tv/tomheinan.

Want a seat at the table? Send me an email! We will be playing 5th Edition Dungeons & Dragons. No prior D&D experience is necessary, but you will need to be ready to play for all 24 hours, and you will need to get yourself to our super secret filming location in South Lake Tahoe.
Donate
We're doing this to raise money for IWK Health Centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia. IWK provides pediatric and obstetric care for the Maritime provinces of eastern Canada. The money we raise doing Extra Life every year goes toward funding services and programs that aren't covered by insurance or other restricted funding sources.
Over the past four years, I've raised over a thousand dollars for IWK and Oakland Children's Hospital. All donations are tax deductable, and 100% of the proceeds go to helping hospitals help kids in need.
